On Tuesday night, Matt and I had our second labor and delivery class. I love watching some of the men squirm when our teacher talks about the "forbidden" things!! There is one other guy in the class that is more miserable being there than Matt, so that makes me feel a lot better:) Actually, Matt seems to be enjoying it (and paying attention!). We practiced some breathing techniques and Matt actually joined in!!! I think he's ready to be a DaDa!!!
Last night I had my biweekly checkup with Dr. Adibi (man of very few words). Things seem to be moving along quite well! If you are squeamish don't read the next sentence!!!! I lost my mucus plug on Tuesday and thought that maybe this was a sign that labor might begin soon!! Apparently it can happen at anytime in pregnancy and even as early as 20 weeks. I did some research online (you know me!!) and I found a lot of conflicting explanations. I told the doc about it and he seemed to think that it was possible that labor could start any day. I am shooting for mid May. I think that will work out just fine!! :) Anyway, the baby is head down (woohoo!!). I still don't know how they can tell. He touched my abdominal area and with a few seconds (literally) of poking around he located all the body parts!! The baby is in the same position as it was when I had the 27 week ultra sound - it must be a comfy one. Regardless, it's a good sign at this point - in case I should go into labor sometime soon. The baby's heart rate was 137 and he/she performed some acrobatics for the doc while he was poking around. The heart rate has been all over the place....as low as 130 and as high as 170. It tends to hang out around 130 - 140 most of the time though. Wonder if this means anything???!!! Possibly a little boy???
The baby is on the move constantly. When I am at work it is on the move all day long. Matt always seems to miss it when the baby does the extra special moves that make my stomach move in ripples and waves. For some reason the baby tends to relax more and calm down when I am at home. Maybe it's the sound of his Daddy's voice. One of these days he'll see it! It is absolutely amazing - nothing I could have ever imagined!!
Time to get some work done:) Take care and I hope to hear from each of you sometime soon!!!!

Baby Lew is on his/her way - I loved spending time with him/her this weekend. I am convinced its a boy - hurry up Baby Lew and prove Aunt Lisa right!!!
SO I AGREE W/ AUNT LISA. I THINK IT'S GOING TO BE BOY. YOU KNOW, IT'S SO FUNNY. THE FIRST THING I SAID WHEN I SAW THE ULTRA SOUND WAS 'BABY HAS MATT'S NOSE!'
